Nature is my general source of inspiration, my past objects series, named Underwater World, Landscapes and Seaforms, are based on this theme. Over the years, working as a sculptor I got increasingly involved in exploring and working on the shape of objects.

So, I am drawn to artists with a strong formal language and focus on shape. First, Zaha Hadid: her architectural projects look like grown into their surroundings, with shapes overlapping to result in a consciously random arrangement. Second, Anish Kapoor’s work affected me because of its kind of pureness, that gets it to the point. They both created things that seem light and pure on the first sight but reveal a depth the longer you look at them. That is what deeply impresses me repeatedly – and what inspires me for my work.
