When I was a child, my cousin who owned an architecture firm in Manhattan would leave me with the model makers. That experience sparked my interest in form and its language as a means of expression at a very early age. Being in that environment where engineering met creativity was simply magical for me. Since then I have spent my life in fascination of objects made by people and cultures and how they reflect the human experience.

I found glass in college and fell in love with the material. It has held my interest for over 40 years and continues to fascinate me. From the chemistry behind its making to its wonderful aesthetic properties, I love working with this challenging material. It is my love and passion.

The inspiration for my work coming from nature the beauty of its forms as well as our experience as an ever growing and changing human being. I believe the more we know and grow the more we realize the infinite manifestations of possibility, what a humbling, beautiful, and powerful thing a human existence is. With that in mind, I produce my work.
